As part of the Corvay Group<\/a>, Corvay Specialty Chemicals is responsible for trading<\/b> in bio-based and biotechnologically produced fine chemicals and products. Our project managers can draw on the expertise of colleagues in the areas of consulting and process development.<\/span><\/p>\nCorvay’s motto \u201cBioeconomy is our passion!\u201d also applies to Corvay Specialty Chemicals. The DNA of the company is the international experience of almost 40 years of bioeconomy in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, in corporate management, marketing and sales as well as in the development of companies and markets. Corvay Specialty Chemicals specializes in bioengineered chemical products, bio-based plastics, specialty enzymes for chemical synthesis and vitamins for food and feed applications.<\/p>\n
In 2002, Albrecht L\u00e4ufer founded the company BioRegioN GmbH<\/span> together with Herbert Stadler and the associations VCI-Nord<\/span> and UVN<\/span> (then: Unternehmerverb\u00e4nde Niedersachsen). The purpose of the company was to manage the BioRegioN cluster on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Federal State of Lower Saxony. By 2010, hundreds of networking events had been successfully held and almost 100 company start-ups had been actively supported.<\/p>\nFrom 2006, the company became increasingly active as a consultant to biotech companies, from 2008 under the name Corvay GmbH<\/span>, from 2022 Corvay Consult. Companies from the biopharmaceutical and vaccine sector (Rhein-Biotech<\/span>, now Dynavax Europe) were among the mandates, as were companies from the industrial bioeconomy (Direvo, ThyssenKruppUhde<\/span>).<\/p>\nIn addition to the founding of Corvay Specialty Chemicals, other start-ups included <\/span>Vakzine Projekt Management GmbH<\/span> (founded in 2002, sold in 2018), the <\/span>BluCon Biotech GmbH<\/span> (founded in Cologne in 2017), 2018 the <\/span>Corvay Bioproducts GmbH <\/span>which now operates under the brand <\/span>BioMera<\/span> and last but not least, in 2023, together with four partners, the <\/span>SEF Venture Management GmbH <\/span>which has started fundraising for the Sustainable Economy Fund No.1.<\/span><\/p>\nIn addition, Corvay Consult is also committed to the interests of the bioeconomy at association level, as a member <\/span>of BIO Deutschland<\/span> and its “Industrial Bioeconomy” working group.
