Monoisopropanolamine, also known as MIPA, is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of aminoalcohols. It is a colorless to yellowish, viscous liquid with a characteristic ammonia-like odor. MIPA is often used in various industrial applications, such as a solvent, emulsifier, corrosion inhibitor and pH regulator. It is also used in the production of detergents, cosmetics, paints and coatings as well as in chemical synthesis.
