As part of the Corvay Group, Corvay Specialty Chemicals is responsible for trading biobased and biotechnologically produced fine chemicals and products. Our project managers can rely on the expertise of our colleagues in the areas of consulting and biotechnological process development.

Die DNA der Firma ist die internationale Erfahrung aus fast 40 Jahren Bioökonomie in der chemischen und in der pharmazeutischen Industrie, in Unternehmensführung, Marketing und Vertrieb sowie der Entwicklung von Firmen und Märkten. Corvay Specialty Chemicals ist spezialisiert auf biotechnisch hergestellte Chemieprodukte, biobasierte Kunststoffe, Spezialenzyme für die chemische Synthese und Vitamine für Nahrungs- und Futtermittelanwendungen.

In 2002, Albrecht Läufer founded BioRegioN GmbH together with Herbert Stadler and the associations VCI-Nord and UVN (then: Unternehmerverbände Niedersachsen). The purpose of the company was to manage the BioRegioN cluster on behalf of the Ministry of Economics of the Federal State of Lower Saxony. By 2010, hundreds of networking events had been successfully held and almost 100 company start-ups had been actively supported.

From 2006, the company became increasingly active as a consultant to biotech companies, from 2008 under the name Corvay GmbH, from 2022 as Corvay Consult. Companies from the biopharmaceutical and vaccine sector (Rhein-Biotech, now Dynavax Europe) were among the mandates, as were companies from the industrial bioeconomy (Direvo, ThyssenKruppUhde). In addition to the founding of Corvay Specialty Chemicals, other start-ups included Vakzine Projekt Management GmbH (founded in 2002, sold in 2018), BluCon Biotech GmbH (founded in Cologne in 2017), Corvay Bioproducts GmbH in 2018, which now operates under the BioMera brand and, last but not least, SEF Venture Management GmbH in 2023 together with four partners, which has started fundraising for Sustainable Economy Fund No.1.

Corvay Consult is also committed to the interests of the bioeconomy at association level, as a member of BIO Deutschland and its "Industrial Bioeconomy" working group. The good management of labor and social law of small and medium-sized companies that are independent of collective bargaining agreements is also a priority - through many years of involvement (since 2003) on the board of the ANA, the General North German Employers' Association. If required, our project managers can rely on the expertise of specialists from the Corvay Group and competent consulting partners.
