Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is a fat-soluble vitamin that is important for human health. It is synthesized in the skin when exposed to ultraviolet B (UVB) light from the sun or can be obtained from various food sources and supplements.

It is used in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food industries. Vitamin D3 is extracted from the lanolin contained in sheep’s wool. Vitamin D3 plays a crucial role in the body’s absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus, which are essential for maintaining strong bones and teeth. In addition to its role in bone health, vitamin D3 is also involved in various other physiological functions.
